What is the 3D Genetics program?
The 3D Genetics program involves a close working relationship between 3D Genetics and progressive beef producers with whom we share the same goals of Genetic gain and Profitability.
The program is designed to be mutually beneficial to both the commercial producer and 3D Genetics. For 3D Genetics, it is an ongoing large-scale progeny test program which allows us to benchmark and improve the genetic merit of the nucleus herd. For the commercial producer it is an opportunity to have access to superior genetics which drive profitability through the production of progeny with increased performance of economically important traits and subsequent increased value at the farm gate.
Currently 3D Genetics bulls are licensed to quality operators traversing the entire length of eastern Australia and recently this has been extended to include clients in Western Australia.
How it works:
3D Genetics Bull licence summary:
Three-year term.
Yearling bulls join 35 cows first season (3% joining rate) then maximum of 60 cows per year for the second and third year – 155 cows joined.
3D Genetics retains ownership of the Bulls.
After their three-year Licence expires (and due to the genetic gain achieved in the 3D Genetics nucleus), the subsequent replacement bulls will produce Carcase progeny that each have an increased wholesale carcase profitability of more than $120 when compared to their predecessors.

BVDV (Pesti virus) antigen tested negative.
All bulls are SNP DNA genotyped.
Vaccinated with Bovillis MH + IBR, 7 in 1, Pestiguard, Vibrovax, BEF, Trivalent Tick Fever and Botulism.
Veterinary Bull Breeding Soundness Examination (VBBSE) conducted including assessment for structural soundness, fertility, and semen.
